THE PROJECT
This scenario-based eLearning course helps learners to understand and build a shared framework of radical candor in the workplace. Most importantly, learners can practice behaviors such as radical candor to improve feedback culture in their jobs.

PROCESS
The client leading this SaaS company wanted an interactive, engaging eLearning experience to practice new feedback behaviors. I designed and developed a scenario-based, gamified learning experience that was well received by the client.
ANALYSIS
We began with systems thinking tools to evaluate the objective and work with existing NPS metrics to create an impactive learning experience to address a real need within the organization to improve feedback culture.
This learning intervention was designed to facilitate feedback culture within teams, and increase workflow. Lack of progress at team feedback meetings was identified from the iceberg model as the largest contributor to delayed marketing launches.

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN
Since we were focused primarily on team feedback culture to improve workflow, it was agreed to implement a new mindset, radical candor. The learning objectives were:
Familiarize learners with a radical candor mindset
Identify the best radically candid response in each scenario.
These objectives determined our direction for the ensuing design.
This module was designed for high engagement and enjoyment. I created a scenario-based learning experience and applied the personalization principle to frame the experience.
For the scenario, the learner would start at an interactive page to help the main character, or avatar, get ready for a pitch meeting. Along the way, they are given many opportunities to provide feedback to others and receive feedback from coworkers.
This learning experience was created with learners of all abilities in mind and includes features such as high contrast for vision and colorblindness as well readability for text readers.
